I came up with the concept of bonsai therapy during the stressful time of dealing with a few medical problems. My husband and I had both have been diagnosed with diabetes, which has resulted in my husband having severe stomach problems. On the other hand, I discovered I had Chiari Malformation. I know what most of you are saying, “What the heck is that? (Unfortunately, my doctors were saying the same thing). It is a birth defect, in which the skull is not formed properly, that didn't decide to show up until I was forty five years old. So I ended up at Cleveland Clinic for a little brain decompression surgery because my brain was being forced down into my spinal canal. We won’t go into the several problems this caused the rest of my body. We also won’t get into the heart procedures, two other operations, or losing my job!
My point is not for you to all feel sorry for me, but rather to let you all know that you are not alone in your stressful lives. I have been spending a lot of time searching and reading about things that might help my hubby and me to deal with our problems. What I found in my search was the healing art of bonsai trees. Peace of mind, increased focus, improved coordination, and the feeling of nurturing and accomplishment are just a few of the healing benefits of bonsai. I have not been very long with this stress relieving hobby, but I did not want to wait until I became an expert before sharing it with you.
I will be honest with you; my entering this endeavor is two fold. First, is that I truly love helping people and feel that everyone needs a little stress relief. Whether it is severe medical issues or a major decision you are making about your job, family, or life in general, everyone deserves a little “me time” to relax. The second, if you remember from earlier, I lost my job. So obviously I need to provide income and because of my medical problems, I need to find something I can do from my home.
At this time, I do not profess to know all there is about growing bonsai trees, but I do intend to learn. I have read the many ways this calming garden hobby can be of great help to people like us who need some peace and calm in our lives!
If you have questions about growing and tending your newly purchased bonsai tree, please email me. If I do not know the answer, I will try very hard to find it for you. I will continue searching for informative websites to link my website. I will also keep reading as much as I can find, so that I may keep my website up-to-date and useful to you, my customers. Also, if you find important and informative information, I hope you will share it with me.
I am starting out slowly, with just a few products to sell, but I do have a great connection to buy all kinds of great tools and accessories. Please don’t hesitate to let me know what you would like to see being sold on my website, Bonsai Therapy.
Thank you. I appreciate you letting me tell you about my products and sharing a little of my life with you.
